The sun djem was a Mark of Contact. It was the name for the act of disarming the opponent, the user enhancing their powers to force the blade against the weapon with enough force so the target would lose grip. The objective was not usually to physically harm the disarmed. The classic Shii-Cho move, the Disarming Slash, was specialized towards executing the sun djem.

In 2019, Baby Intelligence performed sun djem against Sebiscuits, who had recently betrayed him. The former managed to knock both swords that Sebiscuits had drawn out of his hands. However, when he went to finish him off, he leaped onto a pole and pulled both swords back to him.
