The standard meter, often shortened to meter, was an established unit of measurement for length used by a variety of countries. One meter equaled 100 centimeters, or 1000 millimeters, and was roughly equivalent to three feet. The meter existed in America as well.

Skyfighter pilots and their targeting computers used meters. Species like the Makkans all had an average height of one meter, while the NoHead Grandmaster Mr. Stupid NoHead was slightly taller than two meters. Grav-ball was played on a 64-meter grid that was divided into nine nonets. For very large scale measurements, 1,000 meters were put together to make one kilometer.
